Overview of the Trek
Maximum Elevation – 4130 meters  (Annapurna Base Camp)
Trekking style – Lodge or Tea house
Perfect time to visit – March to May and September to December
Days required to complete the trek – 7- 10 days
Hiking per day – 6-7 hours
Trek difficulty - Moderate 
Commencing the trek from Pokhara, it can be completed in 11 days if the following itinerary is to be followed. However, the trek can be adjusted to meet your requirements.


Day 1: Pokhara- Nayapul- Trek to Ghandruk
We will take a short drive of 2 hours to reach Nayapul. Ghandruk is almost 5 hours trek from Nayapul.  Ghandruk is a wonderful village with hospitality being their ace. Ghandruk village is an intersection to various trekking destinations like Annapurna Base Camp and Poon Hill. Annapurna(8091m), Machhapuchhre(‎6,993m) and Himchuli(6441)mountains are seen from this village.  


Day 2: Ghandruk- Chomrong
The morning view from Ghandruk is mesmerizing. It’s not only the serenity that attracts but the hospitality of the people of the village. Chomrong is 5 trek hours away from Ghandruk. We climb for an hour to Kimrungdada enjoying great views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Himchuli. Chomrong is a beautiful village on the foot of Annapurna. We will stay overnight at Chomrong.  


Day 3: Chomrong- Dovan
Today we’ll ascend from 2140m to 2500m. Though the elevation is not much, the winding roads will take 6 hours approx. to reach Dovan. Setting off for Dovan, we will follow stone stairs that will descend us to Chomrong river. Crossing the river and climbing further in the rocky trails we will reach Sinuwa (2350m). 
We will have to walk through oak, pine and rhododendron forests where we might encounter some wild animals as well. After passing the Bamboo Lodge at Bamboo (2350m). Walking two hours further we will reach the beautiful village of Dovan (2500m). There are a few lodges and campsites. We will stay overnight at Dovan. 


Day 4: Dovan- Deurali
Deurali is at an altitude of 3200m and 4 trek hours away from Dovan. Today we don’t climb any higher for acclimatization purposes. We’ll stay overnight at Deurali. After we see off Dovan, we will walk through muddy trails into the pine forests.

We will ascend from 2500m to 3200m today. As the next destination will be higher than 4000 meters, we will have to stay here overnight for acclimatization.


 Day 5: Deurali- Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)
Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) is situated at an altitude of 4130m. It will take us 5 hours to reach ABC from Deurali. With the mesmerizing mountains one sees from ABC, one can’t keep their ecstasy content.

Unobstructed mountain views are lush. 
After we leave Deurali, coniferous alpine forests will follow the trails. The woods follow us up until we approach Annapurna Base Camp (4130m). From Annapurna Base Camp we can see the best view of Himchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7229m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna III (7555m), Machhapuchhre (6997m) and Gangapurna (7454m).  


Day 6: ABC- Chomrong
We will start the trek as early as possible to reach Chomrong. The morning view of mountains is serene and one should not miss it anyway. After we’ve completed watching the mountains which will turn out to be the solace to the chaos one must go back to, we’ll start the trek downwards.

We will leave Chomrong after having breakfast.
It shall take no more than 7 hours to reach Chomrong as it is downhill now onwards. On the way we will be followed by numerous waterfalls and the mountains will walk along. We will stay overnight at Chomrong.


 Day 7: Chomrong- Pokhara
Trekking a little while from Chomrong, we’ll reach Sinuwa from where we can find vehicles to Pokhara. We will start our trek this day after having breakfast. Descending from Chomrong, we climb down the rocky trails.  
There are numerous trekking routes you can take for reaching to the base camp from Pokhara. The scenery offered is similar to the destination being the same. However, the time is taken to complete the trek and the difficulty may be different.
Given below is the outline itinerary of some famous trekking trails to Annapurna Base Camp.
The given itinerary completes the trek in 10 days.


Day 01: Drive to Nayapul (2 hours) and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,480m/4855ft) 4-5 hour
Day 02: Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860m/9,383ft) 6-7 hour
Day 03: Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani (2,630m/8,628ft) 5-6 hour
Day 04: Trek from Tadapani to Sinuwa (2,360m/7,742ft) 6-7 hour
Day 05: Trek from Sinuwa to Deurali (3,200m/10,498ft) 6 hours
Day 06: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130/13,549ft) 5-6 hour
Day 07: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,310m/7,578ft) 6-7 hour
Day 08: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu (1,780m/5,839ft) 5-6 hour
Day 09: Trek from Jhinu to Landruk (1,565m/5,134ft) 3-4 hours
Day 10: Trek from Landruk to Phedi and drive to Pokhara (820m/2,690ft) 4-5 hour
For a faster completion along with an opportunity to observe the beauty of majestic Himalayas, the following itinerary could be followed.


Day 01: Drive to Syauli, trek to Ghandruk - Komrong Danda (2100m), 4-5 hrs walk.
Day 02: Trek to Sinuwa ( 2100m) – 5-7 hours walk
Day 03: Trek to Deurali ( 3230m) 6-7 hrs walk.
Day 04: Trek to ABC (Annapurna Base Camp) Elevation 4130m, 5-6 hrs walk
Day 05: Trek downhill to Dovan – Bamboo (2310m). 6-7 hrs walk.
Day 06: Trek to Nayapul via Jhinu
Day 07: Trek to Kyumi from Jhinu and drive to Pokhara

Day 1:  Pokhara-drive Siwei - Trek to Jhinu -Chhomrong ( 2170m./7161ft.) 5 hours walk 
 
Day 2: Chhomrong village-Bamboo ( 2335m./7705ft.) 6 hours walk
Day 3: Bamboo-Himalaya-Deurali ( 3100m./10230ft.) 4 hours walk 
Day 4: Deurali-Machhapuchhre base camp- Annapurna Base Camp ( 4130m./13629ft.) 4 hours walk
Day 5: ABC- Bamboo ( 2335m./7705ft.) 6 hours walk
Day 6: Bamboo- Chhomrong ( 2170m./7161ft.) 5 hours walk
Day 7: Chhomrong- Trek to Ghandruk - Drive to Pokhara
